With a maximum of 4 guests, we can move more quietly and flexibly than larger group tours, often allowing closer wildlife encounters without disturbing the animals. A small group allows us to stop quickly, reposition easily, and adapt to wildlife movements in real time.

The price is 160 euros per adult in a shared tour. The price of the private tour depends on the details such as the number of people in your group. Travelling with kids? Family discounts are available.

Last minute inquiries are welcome, but it is a good idea to reserve your spot as early as possible especially if your flexibility with dates is limited.
The tour in a nutshell
Moose Safari offers a rare, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to encounter wild moose in their natural habitat—just 30 to 45 minutes from the heart of Helsinki. The private tour includes convenient pick-up and drop-off from anywhere in the city, making your adventure easy and hassle-free.
The safari lasts approximately 3 to 4 hours and is available annually from May 15th to October 30th. During summer, tours begin at 8:00 PM—thanks to Finland’s long northern days, you’ll be exploring in broad daylight even late into the evening.
Please inquire about morning tours which run in September and October.

Wildlife encounters on our moose safaris
Some moose are fairly relaxed about people sometimes. Usually we get close to moose only when we observe them from the car.

The best time to see baby moose is between mid-June and the end of August. After that, they are no longer babies.

Pricing & Availability
There are two ways you can do the safari:
A private tour for your group of 1 to 4 people.
This option includes pick up from your hotel and drop off back to your hotel. Please inquire here about a private tour. Private tours are available between April 1st and October 30th.
A shared tour with a maximum of 4 participants
Option 2: A shared tour with a small group of other nature enthusiasts (the group size is limited to 4 people). In that case, buy your safari using the booking calendar button “book now”. The shared tours are available until August 30th in 2026. The tours start at 8 pm. Our meeting point is close to the Central Railway Station in Helsinki. The price is 160 euros per adult, 130 euros per child (that’s the total cost, no additional fees). The minimum age on a shared tour is 7 years. If you have smaller children, please inquire about a private tour.
