Pricing of Moose Safari: approximately 150 euros per person (more details below).

Safari schedule:

• Autumn (until early November): Morning safaris from around 6:30 to 10:00 a.m.

• December–February: No safaris — moose are less active and hard to spot.

• March–April: Evening safaris (about a 90% chance of moose sightings). Spring is a wonderful time to witness nature’s awakening after winter. We visit exceptional wildlife areas with several deer species, lynxes, wolves, and remarkable birds. Large predators are rare to see, but spring is one of the best seasons to try!

• Best moose season: Mid-May to early November.

Booking for 2026:
In January, a booking calendar will appear on this page, allowing you to book and pay for your tour online. If you’d like to reserve your tour earlier, just send me an email — I’ll set aside a day for you and explain how you can pay next year.

At Moose Safari, we proudly stay outside the platform economy — we do things the old-fashioned way. That’s part of the experience!

Decription of the tour:

Moose Safari offers a rare, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to encounter wild moose in their natural habitat—just 30 to 45 minutes from the heart of Helsinki. The tour includes convenient pick-up and drop-off from anywhere in the city, making your adventure easy and hassle-free.

The safari lasts approximately 3 to 4 hours and is available annually from May 15th to November 5th. During summer, tours begin at 8:00 PM—thanks to Finland’s long northern days, you’ll be exploring in broad daylight even late into the evening.

As a general example, a private tour for 3 to 4 adults costs around 150 euros per person (that’s the total price including taxes and fees). If your group is smaller than 3 people, I am able to combine you with other people to keep the cost lower. You are also welcome to reserve the safari privately for one or two people, it is a great way of doing this safari.
