The price is 160 euros per adult in a shared tour. The price of a private tour depends on the details such as the number of people in your group.

On this safari the group size is limited to a maximum of 4 persons which is helpful in getting close to wild animals without disturbing them. Avoid mass tourism and enjoy a unique experience like this.

Last minute inquiries are welcome, but it is a good idea to reserve your spot as early as possible especially if your flexibility with dates is limited.

The tour in a nutshell

Moose Safari offers a rare, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to encounter wild moose in their natural habitat—just 30 to 45 minutes from the heart of Helsinki. The tour includes convenient pick-up and drop-off from anywhere in the city, making your adventure easy and hassle-free.

The safari lasts approximately 3 to 4 hours and is available annually from May 15th to October 30th. During summer, tours begin at 8:00 PM—thanks to Finland’s long northern days, you’ll be exploring in broad daylight even late into the evening.

Please inquire about morning tours which run in September and October.

Pricing & Availability

There are two ways you can do the safari: A private tour for your group of 1 to 4 people. This option includes pick up from your hotel and drop off back to your hotel. Please inquire here about a private tour or buy all four seats on a tour using the booking calendar below. That makes your shared tour a private one and just let me know where I can pick you up in Helsinki. Private tours are available between April 1st and November 15th.

Option 2: A shared tour with a small group of other nature enthusiasts (the group size is limited to 4 people). In that case, buy your safari using the booking calendar below. The shared tours are available between May 14th and August 30th 2026. The tours start at 8 pm. Our meeting point is close to the Central Railway Station in Helsinki. The price is 160 euros per adult, 130 euros per child (that’s the total cost, no additional fees). The minimum age on a shared tour is 7 years. If you have smaller children, please inquire about a private tour.
